With the winter season, comes the need to care for the most neglected part of our body, our feet. Taking it for granted, we often overlook its care and that can be disastrous. Apart from occasional pedicures, what can you do to avoid cracked and rough heels? Foot creams! So, without much ado, here’s my Himalaya Herbals Foot Care Cream review to help you choose better and reasonable.

Product Name: Himalaya Herbals Foot Care Cream

Himalaya Herbals Footcare Cream

Brand Claims: Himalaya’s Foot Care Cream cares for your cracked heels and rough feet with natural ingredients. Enriched with the goodness of Honey, Turmeric, Fenugreek seeds and Sal Tree extract, this cream leaves your feet feeling soft in one week.

List of Ingredients: Here.

How to Use: Wash your feet with lukewarm water and pat dry. Apply the cream over your cracked or rough heels twice daily, once after bathing in morning and once at night before retiring to sleep.

Personal experience: Thankfully, I do not have cracked heels but due to the regular hustle, I neglect my feet often and hence the skin got a little hard. To smoothen it, I gave this foot cream a try.

Himalaya Footcare Cream Swatch Beige Colour, Thick cream.

When you apply the cream, it takes a considerable time to blend in since it has a considerably dense texture. After massaging a little, the cream blends in completely and leaves soft and supple feet, with a sweet and mild fragrance. I chose to keep my feet open for the rest of the day for three days and the softness lasted for around 6-8 hours while the cream worked wonders during the night. After three days, I used socks to pack my feet after the application of the cream and the cream lasted much longer.

After a week, my feet felt considerably softer. Since I didn’t have cracked heels, this doesn’t justify how well or poorly the cream works. As a result, I asked my mother to use it as well.

I asked my mother to use it for one week and here is what she says: The cream doesn’t blend easily with the cracks, it settles down and takes a while to get absorbed. After a careful application for a week, I feel it safe to say that the cream does work, but the results would’ve been different had I not covered my feet after application. It softens the cracked area, healing the scaly skin but it will take more than a week to achieve totally healed, soft feet.

Pros:

  • Non-greasy, non-sticky moisturiser
  • Contains highly effective herbal ingredients
  • Affordable and easily available
  • Travel-friendly packaging

Cons:

  • Doesn’t live up to brand’s claim of healing cracked heels in a week.
  • Contains Paraben, a chemical that causes an allergic reaction for people with sensitive skin.

Pricing and Packaging: The 50g pack of the tube is available for INR 110/$ 1.617 which is an affordable price. The cream comes in a white plastic tube with a screw cap, is quite travel-friendly. It has a sweet outer paper packaging, representing a foot, as you can see in the image previously provided.

Rating and Recommendation: I’d give it 3.5 stars for the way it worked, therefore, I would recommend it to anyone who wants soft and supple feet.

I saw this product in our local Watsons stores and I remember they also have other creams (for face). I should try this product then 🙂

Too bad it didn’t live up to their claim of working in a week but at least it still worked enough for you to like it to promote it. I’d try it. ^^

I’ve never had a reason to use foot cream. If I ever need it in the future though, I’m not so sure I would use this one since you said it doesn’t live up to it’s promise of fixing cracked heels in a week.

I’ve never really heard of the brand, but I’ll look into it. I’m always traveling on my feet and haven’t gotten a pedi in a while. Maybe this might help soften it up.
