We’ve all been at a point in life where the troubles overwhelmed us and we decided to let go of the frustration boiled up in our heads. Devashish Makhija brings that struggle and those emotions alive in just 11 minutes.
The short film follows the struggles of Head Constable Tamble (Manoj Bajpayee) who is finding it hard to balance his relationship with people as against his nature. Life is hard enough for him with a displeased family and angry subordinates, but when he is assigned duty at a locality during the Ganpati Visarjan, the stress overpowers the blasting music, street fights and the screams of the people dancing. Being pushed to the breaking point, will he give in?
The story throws light on the struggles of an aam aadmi (layman) where pleasing the people around him constantly brings him to the crossroads of either choosing to join the corruption brigade to survive or to maintain the righteous nature he persists because his meagre earnings are not enough to
survive in a world where even supporting the basic needs of the families is a difficult task while his colleagues succumb to the path of dishonesty and corruption.
Manoj Bajpayee is undoubtedly, one of the most powerful actors of Bollywood, yet one of the most underrated one. His acting resonates with the audience and that makes him stand out. His passion showed in the performance and that is commendable.

The soundtrack Nucleya adds to the craziness and just heightens the emotions portrayed in the film.
Taandav, with minimal dialogue, is one powerful example of piece of precise storytelling. Check it out if you haven’t yet:
