Picking up multiple cheap and poorly made products and regretting the purchase later is worse than not buying that one piece that looked fabulous but was not exactly in your budget. I’ve made this mistake in the past, and I’ll have you know, I’ve learnt. I have let go of several of my bags that couldn’t stand the test of time, even when cared for. Shockingly, one bag that I had never used and even paid a good amount for had a lot of wear and tear just sitting in my closet, which was an eye-opener. That was when I decided to hunt for pieces that are made with care and a promise to last.
My hunt landed me on this brand called Hie, short for Happiness is Easy, that crafts these elegant vegan handbags that embody refinement with a certain playfulness about them. Their commitment to quality and care for the environment is reflected in the pieces that they craft. I ordered the Tokyo Satchel Bag from their collection, and I have nothing but praise to sing for the piece that has arrived. So here’s my Hie Bags Review-
BRAND IN FOCUS- Hie
This is the piece that I ordered- Tokyo Satchel Bag in the shade Coffee Brown.
The colour is a delicious coffee brown, and the design is a classic. It’s sophisticated and spacious. It came with a long strap that can be attached. If you know me, you’ll know I carry a world in my bags. So if anything, my bags have to be spacious, so this one is a perfect mix of fashion and functionality. It has the space to carry all my everyday essentials while maintaining its sleek look. Here’s an inside view of the bag-

The ordering process was fairly smooth. Their website is user-friendly, and the order was placed within seconds. The delivery time of the package was also quick, as my order arrived within 3-4 days of ordering. It was carefully and sustainably packed with 100% recyclable tissue paper as promised by them. The bag came with a dust bag to store it in when not in use. The dust bags are sourced from a Non-profit, and the art on them is made by children supported by the Non-profit organisation. So the unboxing was an experience of its own.
The best part is that the brand is consciously practising sustainability, and that makes all the difference. I’d choose consciously crafted vegan bags over any brand name that uses real leather.
