Product Review: Oriflame HairX Restore Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner

Product Review: Oriflame HairX Restore Therapy Shampoo & Conditioner

Last year, while rebonding was all the rage, I styled my hair according to the trends and got my hair straightened for a year. Now that the year has ended, I’ve come to regret the decision I then made like many other ladies who’ve tried it claim. My hair now is a mess with half straight and half wavy hair.

After straightening, I jumped on the bandwagon of highlights and loved them too. Now my hair is not just wavy and straight, but also, blond (as the burgundy colour wore out) which is totally not my idea of beauty.

Managing your hair after styling is a tedious task. Hence, I resorted to Oriflame’s HairX Restore Therapy Shampoo to see if it could be of any help with the unmanageable hair. What lured me into trying it?

As claimed by Oriflame, it has Argan oil which is often referred to as ‘liquid gold’ for its ample benefits for hair and skin. It is proven to make hair softer, smoother and silkier.

What Oriflame Claims:

A daily shampoo that cleans hair without stripping it of moisture, helping make damaged hair look and feel nourished, healthy and shiny. Formulated with Argan Oil, which offers extra care for dry and brittle hair.

My Experience:

The packaging is nice and sturdy. The products are lightweight, easy to carry along.
The shampoo lathers well and gives your hair a smooth and lustrous texture straight after the first wash. It leaves the hair manageable and shiny.

The conditioner does away with any left over frizz and puts the smoothness into action. Although the shampoo alone is effective by itself, paired with the conditioner, it works wonders.

The shampoo came to the rescue for my damaged hair but brought along a little hair fall on the first use which is totally not cool. Although the hair fall came to an end after two or three uses but it would be the perfect shampoo if there was no hair fall.

After using the shampoo for two weeks, the change is noticeable in my hair. It is much silkier although still not good enough to be left open.

  • Soft and Shiny hair
  • Lathers well
  • Reduces frizzes to a considerable extent
  • Affordable

  • Causes hair-fall, initially.
  • Contains chemicals like SLS.

Rating: 4/5

Recommendation: Ladies, if you are looking for a solution to bring your hair back to its normal shine, this is the shampoo for you. You can try the shampoo alone too. After all, who doesn’t want frizz free hair? I know I do! What about you?
Also, you can check out Oriflame’s current catalogue to order the product or if you know any Oriflame dealer, you know what to do!
