It’s been on my mind since long to write about this topic.
When everyday, i see them in front of my eyes, working and working hard, something pinches me about their life!
I am talking about the boys that work in my house, to earn their living…!
When i see them running in and about the house, listening to every other person’s wants, ”Do this, bring this, clean this, pass this, hold this…” and so on, I imagine what it would feel like, if i had been in their place! No kidding, I am sure i would make a Terrible maid! I mean, just tell me twice to bring something and i’ll be like, ‘Go and get it’. They say it true, ”Jiska kaam usi ko saajhe, aur kare to murakh baaje”. 😀
Although i know it that they are being paid for all this work, but amongst all this, what amazes me is their Patience! The way they hear to everyone’s call and work endlessly from dawn till midnight!!
Along with patience, they adjust and adopt the ways of the house so easily anf settle in like they are one of the members, and certainly they are the members of the house today!
Just an instance that made this idea enter my mind, of writing about these people..
I went out in the evening to stay over at my sister’s place. At about 11:54 pm, i got a call from an unknown number. At first i did not pick it up, but when i got another call from the same number, i answered it! To my surprise it was Niranjan’s call, one of the boys who work at my house, he said, ‘Didi, kaha ho? Ghar kab tak aaogi?’, trust me, those words just touched my heart! I replied and hung up the call and everyone was staring at me, like who is calling you at this point of time!
I know it’s just not something that might interest you, or that might have affected you at all, but i felt like sharing and so i did! 🙂 🙂
