Airtel has recently launched 4G LTE services in several cities in India, including the major cities Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bengaluru, etc. 4G technology used by the telecom company is LTE (Long term evolution) Based on 2300MHz TDD-LTE Band 40. 4G supports 100 megabits per second (Mbit/s) for high mobility communication and 1 gigabit per second (Gbit/s) for stationary use, making it the fastest network ever.
“Now, customers across the country will be able to experience high-speed wireless broadband on Airtel 4G and get on to the digital super highway to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, super fast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images. Airtel 4G is available to customers across a range of smart devices including mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and WiFi dongles,” Airtel said in a statement.
