Lately, I often find myself looking for Sarees to wear on numerous occasions. Not that I do not have a good collection, but over the years, I have discovered the style I like and the kind of pieces I’d like to add to my collection. I always keep an eye out for statement pieces, those that my daughters someday would covet, it’s an achievement in itself. So, when I came across this sustainable handloom saree brand called Huts And Looms, I had to look at the products they offer. So before going into what I got from this brand, let me introduce them to you.
Huts And Looms: Handloom & Handwoven Sarees

With its variety of handwoven and pure handloom sarees in a number of fabrics, this brand boasts of the legacy of the meticulous craftsmanship involved in creating these pieces. When you read such stories, it compels you to be a part of the story they are writing, and I’m here for it. Now let’s get into what I’ve got for myself from Huts And Looms. They have numerous fabrics to choose from; cotton, silk, tissue, mulmul etc.
I ordered the Blush Pink Handloom Tissue Saree, as I feel that currently, Tissue is the reigning fabric. And I think I have the best collection of Silk already, so for now, I’ve decided to say a hard no to silk unless it’s a gorgeous saree that I absolutely cannot skip. Here, take a look at what I ordered. The piece is priced at
And here’s what I got (lighting makes a difference when capturing colours)-
It’s a beautiful colour, a dull pink with a silver undertone and the fabric is soft to the touch and is feather-light. Considering the price point, I think it’s a lovely handcrafted statement piece. This is a 5.5-meter saree without a running blouse. Not having the blouse piece makes it difficult and at the same time exciting to style the piece with numerous possibilities. But I strongly believe that the brand should start adding the running blouse. Although they offer pre-stitched blouses and you can buy the fabric as well as per your requirement, it still becomes a task when you have a saree, but not the blouse. Also, being handwoven, the fabric is pricey, which makes it difficult for everybody to own a complete saree.
All in all, I can’t wait to style this saree. Since I was travelling, I didn’t have the chance to get this saree ready for wearing, but I couldn’t wait to show off my purchase. I’ll add the pictures when I style it, for sure! Till then, be kind to one another and talk soon.
