Dana never knew he would turn into what he was now, from when she fell in love with him. Being high school sweethearts, their love was beyond seas but as time passed by, Russell realised his passion and went to explore it. Dana always tried to make his work go along with her family life but
Russell was not ready to make compromises.
When Dana had called him the day before, he said he would be in Toronto for two hours as he had to fly to London and the earliest flight was from Toronto.
They (she and their children) hadn’t seen him for a year now. He used to come home for a month or two in the initial year. Then he started cutting the visiting time. Dana decided to give him a surprise as she thought that maybe this could ignite his love back.
So, the next morning she drove all the way from Buffalo, NY to Toronto Pearson international airport. She got the information that the flight was due in an hour. So she sat in the waiting area.
People kept coming in and leaving. Her eyes waited for Russell.

Soon after the first announcement for the flight, she saw Russell walking in to the waiting area. He hadn’t noticed her. He came and sat in the adjacent row. She stood up and went to his seat and put her arms around him and hugged him tight.
Russell was surprised beyond measures as he started to feel her in his arms. He was overwhelmed with joy. That was when he realised how much he had missed this touch… how much he had missed Dana… how much he had missed his children.
Before Dana could have spoken anything he cupped her face with his hands and said, “You have no idea how much I’ve missed you. This is the best thing that has happened to me in the last whole year. I’m sorry for my ignorance. We’ll discuss other things over dinner.”
Dana smiled as he leaned in to kiss her.
